Tuesday, December 16th marks my 41st birthday. Historically, this time of year brings a strange mix of emotions for me. Between my birthday, the holidays, and the expectations that come with both, I tend to feel anxious and—oddly enough—lonely, even though my day-to-day life is filled with a lot of good.

This year feels different. I can’t point to one specific reason, especially considering the physical injuries I’ve been working my way back from. If anything, I assumed that each step forward in my recovery would reignite my excitement to train hard and “get after it” again. Instead, what’s surprised me most is where my energy is actually going.

I’m excited to teach. As I heal, what truly lights me up is sharing the techniques, strategies, and habits that I believe can be genuinely life-changing—especially for my tribe, my niche of people. Yes, performance matters. But more than that, we’re after feeling good and performing well in life itself—living in a way that’s adventurous, capable, and sustainable.

So here I am, gearing back up to put myself out there and deliver more. Maybe this is me “reinventing” myself at 41 (haha), but this time there’s a deeper sense of purpose behind the why, the what, and the how. And by putting this out into the world, I’m also asking for a bit of accountability.

As we move through the holidays, enjoy your family and friends. Physically, your only real responsibility is to move a little each day. Don’t underestimate the power of small walks here and there during this season. Once we’re through this wonderful time of year, we can dial back in on the routines and lifestyle habits that will truly move the needle for 2026.

If there are any questions or topics you’d like me to cover in more depth, please reach out and send them my way.

I’m getting better. I feel my mojo coming back. And I’m inspired again to teach what I believe are some of the most important things—not just for results, but for health, longevity, and overall happiness.

Happy birthday to me. Happy holidays to you.

Merry Christmas. Happy New Year.

I look forward to getting back after it.
